Community Involvement
Northwest Medical Analytic Laboratory, along with its parent company Lower Columbia Pathologists, sponsors a program that offers financial support and work experience to community college students interested in clinical laboratory, histology, cytology, nuclear medicine, and general health care. NMAL and LC Path also provide mentoring and on-the-job training. The program is coordinated through the Lower Columbia College Foundation.
American Cancer Society's Relay for Life: Lower Columbia Pathologists and Northwest Medical Analytic Laboratory physicians and employees routinely participate in the Relay for Life event by hosting a booth to provide healthcare information and educational materials to event participants and observers.
Classroom Demonstrations: We periodically visit local school classrooms to demonstrate some of the work that we do in the pathology and laboratory fields.
