New Facility Raises the Bar
Lower Columbia Pathologists (LCP) formally celebrated the completion of its new building at 14th and Tennant Way with a grand opening on September 21st.
LCP, which was founded in 1955, is owned by six local physicians and provides clinical laboratory, nuclear medicine, and pathology services to clients throughout the Northwest.
Taylor, Gregory, Broadway of Edmonds, Washington, provided the architectural services. J. H. Kelly of Longview was the general contractor
.
LCP closed two of its Longview offices and consolidated services at the 19,700-square-foot building, where its general operations and state-of-the-art lab facilities are now located. In addition, the company has draw stations at Pacific Surgical Institute on 9th Avenue and the Lower Columbia Women’s Clinic on 14th Avenue.
Board certified pathologist Sheila Lynam, M.D., who is one of LCP’s co-owners, said the new facility makes the company much more efficient.

“We’d completely outgrown our other space,” Lynam said. “We didn’t even have enough parking or desk space for our staff. The added space gives us the opportunity to introduce new technology and allows us to reduce turnaround time. We’re looking forward to serving the community from this location for the next 20 to 30 years.”
